Man falls from bridge
Ambulance and Fire Brigade services this afternoon rescued an injured man who had earlier fallen from the bridge in Kilcullen.
The man, a local, is understood to have serious leg injuries.
The alarm was raised when the man was seen falling into the river Liffey near the Credit Union building shortly after lunchtime.
The rescue took about an hour, and gardai directed traffic which built up quickly because of the emergency vehicles on the road.
