Wall application for resubmission

The planning application relating to the Convent Wall has to be resubmitted to Kildare County Council with changes to the wording.

A recent meeting of Kilcullen Community Action heard that the changes needed related to 'protected structures'.

The proposals involve lowering the existing wall and putting in a railing, which will make the grounds of the former convent visible from the road.

The idea is to improve the streetscape and security around the Cross & Passion College and KARE complex.

KCA is making the application with the permission of both of those organisations.
