Annual homeless fundraiser again

Another of Phena Bermingham's Miscellany On Sunday events in aid of the Michael Garry House in Newbridge for homeless people will be held on Sunday 19 November.

"As winter approaches, the nights are colder, we think of those who have no home, no shelter, no heat, no bed," Phena says. "The Michael Garry House provides a place for the homeless person. They are made welcome, provided with food, facilities to wash, and a bed."

But this all costs money. If you wish to support this very worthy cause, come to Bermingham's, Mooretown, Kilcullen -- on the Kilcullen/Athy road -- on the date, anytime between 2.30-6.30pm.

"If you contribute, you can be certain that every euro goes directly to help the people who need the service provided by Michael Garry House. Mulled wine, mince pies, minerals, tea and coffee will be served, and Kilcullen Drama Group will a sneak preview of their play."

James Healy will also do his 'own thing' and there will be singers and musicians including Pete Fagan, Philomena Breslin, Aoife Kelly, Lugaidh Moran, Roy Thompson, Philomena Breslin and many more.
