Another dream heading for reality
Met James Nolan on the street at the weekend full of the joys. Not just for the glorious weather, but for the fact that a dream is on the way to reality.
"When the new shop is completed, I'll have the kind of place I've dreamed about since I was small," he said. "And I can confidently say that there'll be nothing else like it in the country."
In addition to a larger shop -- but without losing the character of the one with which customers have been familiar for years -- the major project will provide even further capability for Nolans to give the best possible service and the best possible quality.
"It will mean that the whole traceability, from farm to abbatoir to preparation to shop, will be completely controlled to the highest standards."
It will also mean better access to the premises, with parking for 69 cars at the back and access from the Chapel Road. This will deal with one of the key problems of Kilcullen's growth, access to the Main Street shops, and parking.
Meanwhile, the temporary premises just down the road from the 'old' shop seems to be working out well, despite the more confined space.
"We're getting the product out, and the customers seem to be happy, and that's the main thing," James concluded.
