It's the Hideout for Halloween

It is probably the best Halloween gig going. And definitely great value.

Martin Myles and his staff in the Hideout have organised a fun party to celebrate the festival, a little bit early on Sunday October 30.

The event includes a 4-course dinner with a bottle of house wine for just a smidgin under €50 a couple. Live music and spot prizes included. The music is courtesy of Pat Kelly, who now has a regular Thursday night gig in the Hideout.

And here's the thing. If you're in fancy dress, the cost is just €39.95 per couple.

What is 'fancy' is quite open in interpretation.

Martin says Marion will wear witch garb during the day and will be a 'schoolgirl' at night.

Marion hasn't said yes as the Diary writes. But we suspect the comment will earn him a belt of a broomstick or a rap of a ruler, or maybe both.

The Diary will be there. But will you recognise us?

Brian Byrne.
