KCA donates to golf events

When a mobile defibrillator is provided for Kilcullen by the Lions Club, they will be looking for volunteers to train in its use.

The matter came up at the recent meeting of Kilcullen Community Action, where it was decided that the organisation would provide a €100 donation to the upcoming Lions Golf Classic raising money for the project.

Noel Clare said the provision of the defibrillator was a 'very worthy project', and Esther Kiely noted that if somebody needing the device was reached within fifteen minutes of an emergency situation, it would be very useful.

The meeting also decided to donate €100 towards the funds raised by the recent golf classic run in aid of parish funds.

"We didn't get the notice in time to field a team," Noel Clare quipped.
