Bradley music recital

More than 30 students of the Bradley School of Music showed their talents at the school's Summer Recital in the Parish Centre last night.

The school has been run by Kilcullen's Paul Lynch for the last three years, and the recital is one of two such events in the year in which the students can show their progress to their parents and friends.

Paul is pictured above with some of the performers - Emma Birchall, Caroline Breen, Katelyn Hegarty-Kelly, and Emma O'Connell.

The performances ranged from a wide variety of singing, through keyboard, piano and guitar playing, and included pieces from some of the school's teachers as well as the pupils.

The performers included Mark and Rachael Burns, Paul Edward Kilcullen, Catie Warren, Stephen Hovenden Keane, Lulu Conlon, Katie Dunne, Sarah Nugent, Lucy Kernahan, David McMahon, Harlie Martin, Aoife Ngai, Fiona and Sarah Meek (Sarah is pictured on right, singing 'Over the Rainbow'), Shauna Moran, Grahan, John, Daniel & Michael; Emma O'Connell, Emma Birchall, Caroline Breen, An Taobh Doracha, Jack Colleran, Francesca McAllister, Katie Berney, Caroline Shortt, Ruth Murphy, Donna Carpenter, Connor and Rachel O'Sullivan, Caoimhe Harney, Aoife Egan, Katelyn Hegerty Kelly and Alice Kelly.

The evening ended with an ensemble finale, 'The River'.

The school has about 45 students and 30 of them recently sat their RIAM exams.

The new term of the Bradley School of Music begins on September 25. Teachers are wanted for piano/keyboard and guitar. CVs should be sent to Paul Lynch.
