Sculpture ready in 2006

The sculpture to complete the parkland area under construction at the site formerly known as 'the fingerboard' will be in place in 2006.

The sculpture has been commissioned from Noel Scullion, and the total cost of the development is estimated at €80,000, of which €30,000 is for the sculpture.

Kildare County Council has given €38,000 towards landscaping the project, and other funding has come from KELT and from the resources of Kilcullen Community Action.

KCA member Noel Clare says that further fundraising will be necessary to raise the balance of the cost.
