Kilcullen Bridge — 700 years of a village's history

This is the latest in the Diary's series of video podcasts on Kilcullen heritage subjects, writes Brian Byrne.

The subject this time is Kilcullen's bridges, the first of which was built in 1319, a fact which underpins the celebration of Kilcullen 700 now in planning for next year.

As always, comments and feedback to this one are welcome.

The Donnelly's Hollow Pageant 1953

This is a podcast about the Donnelly's Hollow Pageant of 1953, writes Brian Byrne.

The photographs from the day are by a photographer unknown, and were provided to me by Jim Berney, who played the part of Dan Donnelly in the Pageant, which was devised under the An Tostal scheme to raise money for Kilcullen Boxing Club.

This is the second Rough and Ready Production in a series on local heritage interests.  Feedback and comments very welcome.
