DID YOU KNOW?

The Ebers Papyrus, c.1550 BCE, details a dentifrice, or what we call today toothpaste, made of ox hooves, ashes, burnt eggshells and pumice. By the fourth century CE, recipes evolved to include salt, pepper, mint and dried iris flower, with the substance possibly applied with frayed twigs.
