CPC students raise funds for Jeremy Burke Bursary and Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust

The CPC Student Council has raised €770 in support of the Jeremy Burke Modern Music Bursary and the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust. The Bursary was created in memory of musician Jeremy Burke, who died in January 2023.
The cheque was presented by broadcaster Marie Crowe to Jeremy's mother, Louise Kelly, during a visit to the school. Both Marie and Louise are past pupils of CPC and attended the college together.
The bursary supports young musicians playing modern popular music by helping with costs such as equipment, tuition, and third-level music studies. The award is open to 5th- and 6th-year CPC music students.
The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust is a charity dedicated to easing the financial burden on bereaved families, repatriating the bodies of loved ones who have died abroad, suddenly or tragically, back to Ireland.
Louise thanked the Student Council and the wider school community for their generosity, stressing the importance of the funds in enabling both organisations to continue their work. The school commended the Student Council for its efforts in organising the fundraiser.
