Kilcullen military heritage project

An Oral Preservation project on Military Heritage in Kilcullen is being planned for National Heritage Week, writes Brian Byrne. The initiative will be undertaken by the Kilcullen Brigid 1500 Committee. 

The project will include interviews with 15 male and female military personnel of all ranks, covering the Army, Navy, and Air Corps, from the 1950s to the present day. It is scheduled to launch in March, and the project will be open to the public during Heritage Week later this year. 

Cllr Tracey O’Dwyer has proposed an €800 allocation from the Kildare County Council Community Department to support the initiative.
