Hayley Kavanagh is jazz festival 2026 Emerging Act

Riverbank Arts Centre and Kildare Jazz Festival have announced Hayley Kavanagh as the 2026 Emerging Act, writes Brian Byrne. An Irish saxophonist, flautist, and composer, Kavanagh is recognised for her punchy, bluesy style and strong stage presence. 

Selected for her originality and musicality from numerous applicants, she will perform with her quintet on 27 March at Riverbank, opening the festival. She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity, noting the vibrant Irish jazz scene. 

Now in its third year, Kildare Jazz Festival runs from 27 to 29 March in Newbridge, featuring live performances, workshops, and family events. Tickets are available online at riverbank.ie and at the box office.
