At the recent
AGM of Kilcullen Canoe Club, the following awards were presented,
writes Sabina Reddy. A new committee was also elected.
Anthony Whiteley was awarded Senior Club Person of the Year 2025; Freya Robinson, Junior Club Person of the Year 2025; Keith Lawlor, Junior Paddler of the Year 2025 and Polo Paddler of the Year 2025; Darragh Walsh, Senior Paddler of the Year 2025; Rian O'Hare, Slalom Paddler of the Year 2025; and Michael O'Farrell, Marathon Sprint Paddler of the Year 2025.
The Senior Committee for 2026 is: Chair: Anthony Whiteley; Vice Chair: Sean Ansell; Treasurer: Darragh Walsh; Secretary: Catherine Behan; Public Relations Officer: Sabina Reddy; Safety Officer: Tracey Whiteley; Equipment Officer: Ben Nolke; Male Children’s Officer: Oisin Farrell; Female Children’s Officer: Esther Reddy; and Designated Liaison Person: Peter Robinson. The Female Junior Representative is Ellen Cowley, and the Male Junior Representative is Jake Cullen.
