Christmas tree recycling options

From Monday, 5 January to Monday, 19 January 2026, Kildare County Council will provide a free service to recycle REAL Christmas Trees sustainably.

There are seven sites across the county where this service is provided, the two closest to Kilcullen being the Fairgreen in Naas and the Lidl Distribution Centre (beside the R445 Roundabout) in Newbridge.

Another option that saves travelling to the sites is in Kilcullen on Sunday next, 4 January. The CPC Parents Association can collect your tree from outside your home for a fee of €10. Payment is by cash or card, and proceeds support Cross and Passion College.
