Russborough's Christmas season
The Russborough House Christmas season kicks off on Saturday, 22 November, with the official lighting of the tree in front of the house, writes Brian Byrne. From then through December, there are many attractions to help visitors enjoy the venue.
At the tree lighting, the Blessington Community Choir will fill the evening with carols, while Santa Claus will stop by to say hello and collect children’s letters for the North Pole. One child will be chosen on the night to help light the tree and will also receive a Family Weekend Camping Ticket for Kaleidoscope 2026 and a Family Annual Membership. This is a free, family-friendly evening — simply RSVP online to join in and be entered into the draw.
Weekend Twilight Tours will let visitors experience Russborough at its magical best, with a warming glass of mulled wine and festive treats before setting off to explore the house as day turns to dusk.
A seasonal outing with Afternoon Tea & House Tour is available daily from 22 November to 21 December. There are also Wreath and Knitting workshops in the season schedule — learn new skills and take home a beautiful decoration. Mulled wine and homemade mince pies are included to get the creative juices flowing.
