Newbridge RFC film awards fundraiser

Newbridge Rugby Football Club is seeking members and non-members to act in a series of short films for a major fundraiser, writes Brian Byrne. The movies will be screened next April at a big awards event in the Keadeen Hotel.

The 'OsKaRs' night is the club's biggest fundraising campaign since 2017, and the proceeds will go to its ambitious Development Plan. Kevin Rowe Events is organising the night.

"Play your part today and sign up to become one of our actors," says the club's Stephen Cooke. "The smallest part on screen still plays a massive role in our future."

An information evening on the campaign will be held at the rugby club in Rosetown on 13 November at 7.30pm.
