Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim, was named as Ireland’s Tidiest Town for 2025. It had earlier been awarded the Tidiest Small Town accolade. Rosscarbery, Co Cork, is Ireland’s Tidiest Village. Dalkey, Co Dublin, is Ireland’s Tidiest Large Town, and Tralee, Co Kerry, is Ireland’s Tidiest Large Urban Centre.
The results of the competition were announced this morning at a ceremony in Croke Park, Dublin. A delegation from Kilcullen Community Action Tidy Towns group were at the event.
In all, 70 gold medals have been awarded this year to communities around the country. Of these, 11 were won by towns and villages in County Kildare. Gold, silver and bronze medals are awarded to entrants with scores that fall within a set range from the year’s winning score.
