Most people will be able to self-assess their property value. However, Austin Egan says he has received many calls from residents who are unsure about their obligations. He offers to provide an opinion on the correct LPT band for residential properties in Kilcullen at no charge. He expects to assist the majority of those seeking help, free of charge.
Appleton Property provides the following basic information:
All residential property owners in Ireland must submit a revised estimate of their property's value, with a valuation date of 1st November 2025. Homeowners are asked to provide a fair and reasonable property value assessment. This revaluation figure must then be submitted to Revenue. The previous valuation date was 1st November 2021; before that, it was 1st May 2013. Valuations have changed significantly over this period. From 2026 onwards, LPT payments will be based on this updated valuation.
