Welcome for catching of dumpers

The apprehension of the serial dumpers at Kilcullen graveyard has been welcomed by Cllr Tracey O'Dwyer, writes Brian Byrne. They were caught on Saturday evening after leaving yet another cache of rubbish bags at the site.

Thanks to the vigilance of local community members and the quick reporting of the latest incident, Kilcullen Garda located the vehicle and the people concerned. They were brought back to Kilcullen to pick up what they had left.

Cllr O'Dwyer thanked the community and the Garda for working with the council to identify the dumpers. While dumping continues around the Old Kilcullen area, she said she is confident that the offenders will be identified through everybody working together.
