Wear black and white to the Field of Dreams opening

People attending the grand opening of the Kilcullen GAA Field of Dreams are being encouraged to wear black and white in some form as a recognition of the club's colours, writes Brian Byrne. The event is next Saturday, 20 September, kicking off at 2pm.
RTE presenter of The Saturday Game and Saturday GAA Live, Damian Lawlor, will be the MC for a day of fun, music, exhibition games and interviews with some surprise GAA stars appearing for the club's milestone event.
At 2.45pm, a piper will lead a parade of teams around the new pitches area, in advance of four exhibition matches, the first to be played on the new facilities. The official opening ceremony will be at 4.10pm, following a piper-led procession from the main pitch to the Field of Dreams. There will then be a series of 'fireside chat' interviews on a stage, followed by the presentation of Feile medals.
Meantime, from 2pm to 5pm, the main pitch will have a range of entertainment, including Whack a Mole, Cactus Toss, Connect 4, Gladiator, Dunk Tank, a Disco Dome and a Tug of War. Music will be provided by Kilcullen Gospel Choir from 3pm, with DJ Curley and a local band also featuring through the afternoon.
A Car Park and Clubhouse Food Court will feature local food suppliers.
