Resources issue noted to councillor's queries
Kildare County Council has no objection in principle to taking charge of the new linear park and playground area created in the Riverside development in Kilcullen, writes Brian Byrne. That was the reply to a question from Cllr Tracey O'Dwyer at the recent meeting of the Kildare-Newbridge MD.
But the meeting heard that this would be subject to the developer completing the space to the planning permission standard and identifying resources to manage it.
At the same meeting, the councillor was told that the council do not have sufficient resources to progress the long-awaited road widening from Athgarvan Cross towards Newbridge.
