Kilcullen September movies
Two great films are showing soon at Kilcullen Bridge Cinema, writes Teresa Nurse of Kilcullen Lions.
A special screening of Steven Spielberg’s film The Goonies is this Sunday, September 14th, at 2pm. It tells the story about a group of young misfits who discover an ancient map and set out on a madcap adventure to find a legendary pirate’s long-lost treasure. A fun family movie it is endlessly rewatchable and a classic that many will want to share with younger family members. All tickets are €4.
On Tuesday, September 16th, the Irish documentary Beat the Lotto shows at 8pm. It is a charming exploration of one of the best stories from 1990s Ireland, directed by Ross Whitaker. It is a fascinating exploration of the audacious plan by Cork-based mathematician Stefan Klincewicz to fix the draw and win the millions. A charming movie, sure to entertain. Tickets are €7.
