June Fest opens tonight

The Newbridge annual celebration June Fest will officially open this evening with an event in Whitewater Shopping Centre, writes Brian Byrne. It starts at 7pm.

There will be performances by the Find Your Voice Lámh Choir, and performances by Irish Figure Dancers. A photographic exhibition by John Armstrong will picture Newbridge's past.

Saturday will be the first full day of the event and is designated the Newbridge Festival of Dance which will feature performances of dance by all ages and abilities.
