Lorry gravel fright for motorist
UPDATE: From reports by other motorists, it seems the vehicle involved was a premixed concrete transporter. A woman driving on the Athy Road towards Kilcullen yesterday afternoon got a serious fright when a lorry driving in the other direction shed some of its gravel load onto her car's windscreen and bonnet, writes Brian Byrne. The incident happened on the Kilcullen side of Whitehall Cross at about 3.55pm.
Unfortunately the driver was unable to see the registration number of the lorry, which continued driving towards Athy.
Clearly the lorry's load wasn't covered as is required. The motorist would like to know if anyone else along the road was similarly affected or has any information about the other vehicle.
