Fairies and ducks for Family Fun Day

A reminder that the return of the Lions Duck Race will be a highlight feature of the Kilcullen Fairy Trail Family Fun Day being held on this coming Saturday, 17 May, writes Brian Byrne. Funds from the race will go to St John's Oncology Ward in Crumlin Hospital and to local charities in the Kilcullen area.

Ducks will be on sale in days prior to the event in the Valley Park, with the race itself scheduled for 4pm Each duck sponsorship costs €5. The prizes are €100, €50 and a Woodbine Books voucher. 

The Family Fun Day will run from 12 noon to 4pm and attractions will include magician Billy Bubbles, a Sprinkles and Biscuits Decorating session with Mrs Bubbles, free face painting, storytelling, music by local musicians and DJ, and ice cream for the children.

Children's Fairy Fancy Dress is optional, with prizes for the top three.

The day is a KCA initiative with support from Kildare County Council and Kildare Credit Union.
