King Frankie in Kilcullen cinema on Tuesday
The next film at Kilcullen Bridge Cinema is an Irish one, writes Teresa Nurse. King Frankie is showing Tuesday March 11th at 8pm.
A Celtic Tiger tale you have not seen, it is a redemption story about those who not only make promises but keep them. King Frankie stars Peter Coonan of Love Hate fame and is shot on location in North County Dublin and County Meath. This debut from Dermot Malone is a probing yet warm character study split between two strikingly different moments in the protagonist’s life.
Peter Coonan excels as the troubled but sympathetic Frankie, alongside a talented supporting cast which includes Owen Roe, Olivia Caffrey and Ruairi O’Connor.
Tickets are €7 and are on sale in Woodbine Books.
