The passing of Margaret (Mag) O’Connell

The Diary has learned of the death of Margaret (Mag) O’Connell née McCarton, of Brannockstown, Naas, on 25 February 2025 at Naas General Hospital in the company of her loving family.

Predeceased by her son Daniel, Mag's passing is very deeply regretted by her loving husband Daniel, sons Kevin, David, Noel and Ger, daughters-in-law Síobhan, Betty and Eunice, brothers Ger and Tom, sister Nan, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and friends.

She will be reposing at her residence (Eircode W91 CX7Y) on Thursday 27 February from 4pm until 8pm with prayers at 7.30pm. Removal from there will be on Friday morning 28th to the Church of the Sacred Heart and St Brigid Kilcullen, arriving for 11am Requiem Mass which may be viewed on this link. The Mass will be followed by funeral to St Brigid’s Cemetery.
