WEATHER

It will be a bright and fresh day with a mix of sunny spells and showers. It will be mostly dry this morning with just isolated showers but showers will spread from the west through the afternoon, some possibly heavy with hail. Highest temperatures of 8 to 10 degrees in fresh westerly winds.

DID YOU KNOW?

The first aerial bombing of a national capital city was on August 30 1914 when the pilot of a biplane with German markings dropped four bombs by hand on Paris. It was the start of what became an increasing number of attacks on Paris by planes and Zeppelins during WW1.
