Weather postpones schools opening, delays transport

The adverse weather conditions have impacted schools, transport and businesses in the Kilcullen area, writes Brian Byrne.
Cross and Passion College will not open tomorrow. It is expected to reopen on Tuesday.
Newbridge College will also remain closed tomorrow.
Scoil Bhride Kilcullen and Brannockstown Community School and St Joseph's NS Halverstown and Two Mile House National School will not be open on Monday.
Kidz Akademy Creche and Preschool will open at the later time of 9.30am on Monday the 6th of January. This time will be reviewed according to local weather conditions and updated in line with health and safety advisories. Afterschool service will commence at 2pm.
Kilcullen Community Childcare Centre will remain closed tomorrow Monday 6th January to ensure the safety and well being of families and staff. It will reopen on Tuesday 7th January.
Jamesey's Cabs is closed tonight and probably on Monday.
Brennans Hardware will be open on Monday.
TFI Kildare Local Link has cancelled early morning trips tomorrow as follows: 892 Dunlavin to Newbridge first trip will depart from the Mart in Kilcullen at 0950; 880 Carlow to Naas first trip will depart Carlow at 0915; 880 Naas to Carlow first trip will depart Naas at 0915.
