Storm Éowyn prompts RED Wind Warning for Kildare

Met Éireann Friday forecast.

A level Red Severe Wind weather alert has been issued by Met Éireann for Kildare for Friday, 23 January writes Brian Byrne. The alert is valid from 6am-midday, and potentially destructive gusts of wind up to 130km/h are possible.

This is an update to the Orange level Severe Wind warning issued earlier today and valid from 2.30am-5pm on Friday, with possible gusts up up to 114km/h and heavy rain in the early hours.

The alert relates to Storm Éowyn.
