Kilcullen storm updates

KILCULLEN STORM DAMAGE, CANCELLATIONS AND REOPENING TIMES (Subject to weather and power situations at the time)
Power supply restored to remaining 413 ESB customers in Kilcullen shortly after 8pm.
The Grangemore to Brannockstown road  was blocked by a fallen tree, now open, advice to drive with care.
Kilcullen and Narraghmore Kildare CU offices are now open until 4pm and the Kildare office is open until 5pm.
O'Connell's Bar is open, cash only as card machines not working.
Fallen tree at Usk reported to be lying on power lines. Also a tree down on the Dunlavin side of the Steiner School.
The Kilcullen Playground will remain closed all day.
Bridge Barber remaining closed today.
Gardai are asking people not to travel until the Red alert has ceased (11am) and to be aware that there are reports of trees down across the county which can't be dealt with until after that time.
There are trees down on the Old Carlow Road, beyond Godfrey Hegarty's Garage.
1,327 ESB Customers in the Kilcullen area area reported without power  since 3am (down to 1,018 by 4pm). 16 ESB customers in the Gilltown area are without power since 2am.
River Cafe remaining closed today, reopens Saturday subject to power being OK.
Period Door Company remains closed through Friday.
Nichola Kennedy Kilcullen Opticians closed Friday.
Brannockstown Youth Club meeting cancelled.
Civic Amenity Sites at Silliot Hill and Gallowshill are closed, Friday 24th January.
Fallons Bar and Restaurant will remain closed today.
Armelle's Kitchen will remain closed all day.
Mass in Kilcullen Friday has been cancelled, and the Parish Centre will remain closed.
Kilcullen Community Centre, All Weather Pitch and The Coffee Hatch will remain closed Friday, and will reopen at 9.15am on Saturday.
Dogs Day Out, Brannockstown, closed.
Hair by Eilis hair salon will be closed today, Friday, due to Storm Éowyn.
Kilcullen GAA Friday bingo night is cancelled.
Challenge for Friday evening has been cancelled.
Burkes Pharmacy in Kilcullen will open from 12pm to 7pm.

The Newbridge College Alumni & Friends Lunch at the Keadeen Hotel has been rescheduled to 7 February.
No1 Fitness in Kilcullen have cancelled their 10am Functional Training Class scheduled for this morning. The Gym will open at 1.30pm.
The Hideout in Kilcullen will be closed until 3pm for the safety of Staff & Customers. 
Schools and creches are closed today and public transport is not operating during Red Wind alert.
South Kildare Shamrocks Skills 
The Cottage Veterinary Clinic will be closed until 2pm. 
Post will not be delivered on Friday due to the storm, and pension payments in Post Offices will not be paid early in the day.
All Kildare Credit Union offices will remain closed until at least 2pm on Friday.

Storm Éowyn: Gale to storm force southwest to west winds with extreme, damaging and destructive gusts in excess of 130km/h. Impacts: • Danger to life • Extremely dangerous travelling conditions • Unsafe working conditions • Disruption and cancellations to transport • Many fallen trees • Significant and widespread power outages • Impacts to communications networks • Cancellation of event • Structural damage • Wave overtopping • Coastal flooding in low-lying and exposed areas.
