Maintain Hope graduates
It’s a sweltering 28 degrees here today (Friday), a far cry from Storm Darragh, writes Gerry O'Donoghue, founder of the Maintain Hope charity. Today in Karen, Nairobi, together with their families, we celebrated the graduation of Safia and Sandra. Safia obtained a B.Comm from the Cooperative University of Kenya and Sandra was awarded a certificate in Community Nursing from Kenya Medical Training College.
For Safia this is the culmination of her years of study which was supported by Maintain Hope since she was ten years old. Sandra will continue her studies next year. Their success and joy in their achievements are a fitting tribute to all who have supported the work of Maintain Hope. From being trafficked and exploited to achieving so much is also a tribute to their resilience and dedication.
The ever reliable and hardworking Julius Arega is key to our successes in Kenya. Kilcullen and its generosity was mentioned during the celebrations today and everyone here sends Christmas greetings to our friends and supporters.
