Trad and Folk night at Riverbank
The Irish trad music trio Breen Rynne Murray will perform at the Riverbank Arts Centre on Saturday 16 November at 8pm. The three folk musicians will shape melodies from past and present into something dynamic and irresistible.
The group are celebrating the release of their new album Odyssey, and will perform some classics from previous releases as well as material from their new album. The programme includes music from the oldest of traditional books to newly composed pieces and melodies from Asturias and Scotland.
Tara Breen has numerous All Ireland titles on the fiddle and tours regularly with The Chieftains and Stockton’s Wing and as a solo performer. Pádraig Rynne is a founding member of well-known bands such as Notify and Guidewires. Jim Murray has been one of the most sought after and busiest musicians of his generation over the last 25 years, recording and touring with some of the best-known folk musicians in the world.
Tickets are priced €20/€18 and can be booked through the Box Office, either in person or by telephone on 045 448327 Monday to Friday 9.30am-5pm (closed for lunch 2-2.30) and Saturday 10am-1pm.
