The passing of Christy Brennan

The Diary has learned of the death of Christopher (Christy) Brennan, Ballyshannon, Kilcullen, on 2 October 2024, in the wonderful care of the nurses and staff of Curragh Lawn nursing home, peacefully in the company of his loving family.

Predeceased by his loving wife Kathleen (Nèe Byrne) Christy is sadly missed by his loving daughter Clodagh, sons Chris and David, brothers Jimmy and Thomas, sisters Sheila and Bridie, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and a wide circle of friends.

He will be reposing at his residence in Ballyshannon (R56 HF67) on Friday 4 October from 12 noon until conclusion of prayers at 7.30pm. Removal from there will be on Saturday 5 October at 1.30pm to St Brigid's Church, Suncroft, arriving for 2pm Funeral Mass which may be viewed on this link. Burial will follow in Holycross Cemetery, Suncroft.
