New appeal for temporary KWWSPCA shelter premises

A renewed appeal for a temporary shelter premises has been made by the Kildare & West Wicklow SPCA, writes Brian Byrne. The need is from February 2025, when they have to vacate the property in Athgarvan where they have been located for a decade.

KWWSPCA have a planning application in for a new shelter on property they have acquired near Kildare, but there's no possibility of that being available for some time.

Any temporary premises needs to be located in the Kildare/West Wicklow area, and if anyone knows of a potential property, they are asked to email kwwspca@gmail.com or call John at 085 2354939. "We are looking for a short-term lease of a year, with the possibility of an extension after that if our new premises are not ready. We would consider stables, kennels, industrial units, large barns/farm buildings as possible sites."

The organisation emphasises that they have had a very good relationship with the owner of the land where they have been renting for ten years, they have to move because the property is being sold.
