Have you nominated for the Kilcullen Community Awards?

The closing date for nominations to the Kilcullen Community Awards is 31 October—have you made your nomination yet? The awards are organised by Kilcullen Community Action in conjunction with the presentation of the local Tidy Towns awards and will take place on Wednesday 6 November in the Town Hall.

The Community Awards were set up in 2006 by KCA, as a means of recognising people, groups, and businesses in the Kilcullen area whose work has significantly enhanced life in the community. This year 9 Awards will be presented, under the following categories:

1 Best Community Driven Public Space

2 Best Wildlife Friendly Estate

3 Best Biodiversity Impact

4 Business of the Year

5 Excellence in Sports

6 Youth Award

7 Best Community Arts Project

8 Special Award

9 Chairperson's award

Anyone can nominate individuals, groups, families, clubs or other organisations. Email nominations to kilcullencommunityaction@gmail.com, referencing Community Awards 2024 and giving a short summary of reasons for the nomination. 

Forms and Nomination boxes are available at a number of locations around the town, including Nolan's Butchers, the Post Office, and the Community Centre.
