Cllr calls for Kilcullen traffic audit

A request for a comprehensive traffic audit in Kilcullen and its approach roads has been made by Cllr Tracey O'Dwyer to Kildare County Council, writes Brian Byrne.

In a motion before the meeting of the Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District being held next Wednesday 18 September, the councillor is seeking the audit to inform current live and future planning in the town, with particular emphasis on the traffic lights at the main street junction.

Cllr O'Dwyer's request is that the audit include — but not be limited to — traffic volume, vehicle movement, peak times, pinch points, speed, and type of vehicles.
