KWWSPCA Dog Show at Punchestown

The annual fun Dog Show organised by the Kildare & West Wicklow SPCA will be held in the Parade Ring at Punchestown Racecourse on Sunday 8 September. Registration is from 1pm and the Show starts at 2pm. 

Every type of dog is welcome, especially rescue dogs. There is plenty of free parking and light refreshments will be available. €5 entry per class - €20 for 5 classes (Dogs under 6 months old can only be entered into the Puppy Class). 

The Classes are: Child under 12 with their Dog; Small Rescue Dog; Large Rescue Dog; Senior Citizen with their Dog; Fanciest Female Dog; Handsomest Male Dog; Puppy Class; Waggiest Tail; Veteran Dog (9 years and over); Fancy Dress (Dog and Owner); The Dog You Would Most Like to Take Home; KWWSPCA Rescue Dog; Dog Most Like its Owner; Child under 16 with their Dog; Open Class (for any dog that has not won first, second or third place in any previous classes); Best in Show (the Winner of Each Class is Automatically Entered). 

There will also be a High Jump Competition at the end of the Show.

Meanwhile, the KWWSPCA is starting its Bonus Ball Lotto again on 7 September to help raise funds for its new Animal Shelter. If you would like to enter or would like more information, email contact details to kwwspca@gmail.com and a KWWSPCA volunteer will be in touch with you. This is a fun event and has proved a successful way to raise funds for the Society in the past.
