Heritage Week talks in Kilcullen

A reminder that National Heritage Week is now on, and a talk on Castlemartin will be held in the Heritage Centre in Kilcullen tonight, writes Brian Byrne. It will be given by Dr Michael O'Connell about his research for models of areas around Kilcullen's past which he has constructed.

The talk is part of a weeklong exhibition titled The Routes to Kilcullen's Past, and the displays include 3D model reconstructions of Castlemartin, New Abbey, Harristown, Old Kilcullen, Ballyshannon and Jigginstown in Naas. They will be available to view in the Heritage Centre from 2pm-4pm on 20, 21 and 23 August. 

On Thursday night 22 August, Michael will talk about New Abbey, New Thoughts. 

All welcome. Admission free. Talks start at 8pm.
