U13 football and hurling day at Kilcullen

A great buzz at Kilcullen GAA yesterday underpinned a very special visit to the Rags HQ by Cork club Ballincollig U13 footballers and hurlers. The visitors' manager was Colm Barker, native to Kilcullen and living in Cork for the last two decades.
The Ballincollig footballers were the victors in the football game 5-10 to 3-7, captained by Colm's son Fionn, grandson of Kilcullen GAA patron Jim Barker, while the South Kildare Shamrocks managed to even up things by prevailing over the Ballincollig lads in a brilliant game of hurling skills by both sides.
