Cleaning up at the playground
This rubbish was gathered by Kilcullen Scouts from ditches around the Community Centre, writes Brian Byrne. The work was carried out as part of National Spring Clean month by the troop.
The story has been corrected from the original, where it had been originally thought that someone had dumped the bags at the playground following construction work. In fact, they were piled awaiting collection for disposal. The Diary is happy to clarify that, and has apologised to the Scouts for any wrong interpretation.
