Don't forget the plays!

A reminder that two very contrasting one-act plays will feature in a presentation by members of Kilcullen Drama Group on Thursday next, 21 March, and on Saturday 23rd in the Town Hall Theatre, writes Brian Byrne.
Give A Little Love by Alan Stockdill is about four old school friends (above) who meet up again after 30 years, at a Bay City Rollers tribute concert. Each character tells a story from the intervening years that is linked to a song from the group. A touching and revealing drama, with Joan Murphy, Fiona Kelly, Colette Fitzgerald and Gail Dalton. Directed by Sinead McKenna.
Esther Reddy, Colette Murran, Sabina Reddy and Harry Murphy rehearsing a scene from Riders to the Sea.

JM Synge's Riders to the Sea is set on Inishmaan off the west of Ireland, telling the tragic story of a woman who has lost her family to the dangers of the sea. With Sabina Reddy, Laura Cross, Esther Reddy, Colette Murran, Harry Murphy, Ger Kelly and Steve Kinneavy, the play is directed by Gerry O'Donoghue. Four of the cast are making their debut.
Tickets at €15 are available as usual from Berney's Pharmacy 045 481497.
