Kilcullen GAA Treasurer Nick Egan has been presented with the Club Person of the Year, at last evening's Dinner & Awards Night.
He's pictured above receiving the award from Christy Howard. Nick took up the position a year ago, and has been streamlining the club's finances and also driving forward the fundraising efforts, especially in the Field of Dreams projects.
During the evening, members of two legendary Kilcullen GAA teams were honoured. One was the team that won the 1971 Junior Championship as well as the Murphy Cup, and Division 2 of the Senior League. Five years later the team was still rampant, winning the Intermediate Championship for the fourth time by defeating Rathangan.
The 1997 team was also honoured at the Keadeen event, winners of the Kildare Junior Championship, and subsequently gaining the Leinster Junior Championship. In 1998 they won the Kildare Intermediate Championships.
