Walk with Noel again tonight
A reminder that the second Kilcullen GAA Lights Up walk of the season takes place this evening, led by our local Operation Transformation exemplar leader Noel O'Connell, writes Brian Byrne. The walk begins at 8pm, but get to the parking area beside the Astro pitch at Kilcullen Community Centre a bit before that for some warm-up exercises (above).
Some 270 people turned out last Monday to support Noel and also kick-start their own get-fit campaigns for the year. The route is an easy on the flat footpath four circuits totalling 5km. Free Ballygowan water will be served during the walk, sponsored by Britvic Ireland. Wear your walking gear with bright Hi-Viz vest/clothing.
Please spread the word to your friends and family and invite them to take part with us in both the Kilcullen Community Steps Challenge and Kilcullen Lights Up 2024 walk.
There were 235 people taking part in the MyLife Every Step Counts challenge last week, bringing the Kilcullen club to third place in Leinster behind two Dublin city clubs. The free app to participate can be downloaded from Apple and Google Play stores.
