Orange wind warning for Kildare

A Severe Weather Warning for Wind for Kildare has been issued by Kildare County Council. The Alert relates to Storm Isha which will bring very strong southwest winds with severe and damaging gusts.

According to Met Eireann, it's a status Orange weather alert, which can lead to large coastal waves with wave overtopping, very difficult travelling conditions, fallen trees, and damage to power lines.

The warning is valid from 5pm Sunday 21 January until 2am Monday 22 and is expected to effect all of Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Munster, and Connacht.
