Recent gaming market success encourages further event plans

The success of the recent Irish Gaming Market event in Kilcullen Community Centre has encouraged the organisers to take the initiative country-wide, writes Brian Byrne.
According to co-owner of the IGM operation with Matthew Martin, Seamus Fanning, discussions are also in train to repeat the market at the Kilcullen venue.
Some 35 vendors participated in the inaugural event and over 500 people attended on the day for browsing, buying, cosplay, and playing vintage electronic games.

“We’ll be adding more gaming elements to it and we’re excited to see where we can take this and what 2024 has to offer,” Seamus told the Diary. He also expressed his thanks to the work of the volunteers who helped set up and tear down the event.
