New book by Joe Osborne to help addiction centres

A book of essays by Godolphin Ireland MD Joe Osborne will launch in Woodbine Books on Tuesday next 14 November. Things kick off at 7pm.

Here's the Thing is Joe's second book, and like his first in 2020, Poise and Stride is illustrated by Declan Considine. Proceeds from the sale of the book will go to Cuan Mhuire Addiction Treatment Centres which includes their centre in Athy, County Kildare.

Here's the Thing covers a diverse range of topics including history, politics, sport and everyday life. The book’s subtitle 'Stories of challenge, recovery and redemption' captures the varied themes.

“Godolphin is supporting a Horse Racing Ireland/Equuip initiative to raise awareness of Cuan Mhuire’s services within the thoroughbred industry in Ireland," Joe Osborne says. "I hope this book can aid that effort. I also hope that Here’s the Thing encourages people to help Cuan Mhuire and to offer hope to those struggling with addiction.”
