WEATHER

A very cold but mostly dry start this morning with some crisp sunshine through to this afternoon and evening. Staying dry but rather chilly today with highs struggling at 3 to 4 degrees in a cold northerly breeze that will make it feel below freezing all day. Another heavy frost tonight.

DID YOU KNOW?

Desert sand dunes are known to 'sing', in some cases making sounds as loud as those heard in a concert hall. It's believed the sounds are produced when air pushes through millions of sand grains as they tumble into new positions during certain weather conditions.
