Just a reminder that local best-selling author Hazel Gaynor's The Last Lifeboat has been short-listed in the Popular Fiction category of the 2023 Irish Book Awards, writes Brian Byrne.
The Awards are sponsored by An Post, and there's a public vote accessible here (closing 9 November) where fans of Hazel's latest historical fiction can help get The Last Lifeboat safely into the winners harbour. The novel was published in June, and there was an entertaining local launch hosted by Woodbine Books.
The book is the eighth written by Hazel since her first best-seller The Girl Who Came Home, and she also has three co-written with her American writer friend Heather Webb.
